Summer concert
Saturday 4th July, Settle Parish Church, 7.30pm
Our summer concert this year is very special! We have commissioned a piece of music from Vahan Salorian, who grew up in the area and used to play in Settle Orchestra. The words are by Dominic Kimberlin, who is also from the area, and pupils from Settle Primary School.
The piece celebrates the importance of farming to our local culture and way of life, and has been created with input from children from Settle Primary School, several local farmers, and auctioneers from Skipton Auction Mart.
As well as the premiere of this piece, which will be accompanied by several of our talented friends from Settle Orchestra, we will also be performing Folk Songs of the Four Seasons by Vaughan Williams.
