Langcliffe Teas
These are held once or twice a year in Langcliffe Village Institute from 2 pm to approximately 4:30 pm .
Choir members volunteer to bake cakes, scones etc and prepare other delicacies such as trifles, and tea, coffee and soft drinks are also available. Choir members then also staff the event on the day and there is often a small raffle or sale of bric-a-brac. This year because of covid only one event took place..
2022 Langcliffe Teas
The first of our Langcliffe teas for this year is on Sunday 22nd May
Christmas Raffle
Due to the disruption caused by the pandemic we will not be holding our usual Christmas raffle this year. Instead we will be organising a small raffle where tickets will be sold, and the draw will be held, at our Come & Sing concert on December 18th. Even though the scale of the raffle will be smaller the prizes will still be well worth winning!
Come & Sing Events
These take place usually during the early part of the year.
Past events have led to performances of pieces such as the Armed Man,
Opera choruses and Handel's Messiah
200 Club
A subscription of £12 a year is paid for the chance of winning a prize of £20 every other month. The number of entrants is limited to 200 though in practice it’s a lot fewer than that so the chances of winning are pretty good.
